Gator Thunderstorm ~ 1/2/2025
In this era of constantly controversial and sexually explicit movies, it can be difficult to just find a nice movie for an easy Friday night with the kids. But don’t worry, Daddy Gator is here to give you all the answers. Don’t let the descriptions scare you, these movies are completely safe for all ages. That’s the Riot Club guarantee.
1. A Clockwork Orange (1971): This utopian crime film follows Alex DeLarge, a nice young man who enjoys some violence and "ultraviolence" with his buddies. After being unjustly jailed, he volunteers for an experimental therapy to reform his behavior, leading to severe consequences.
A great movie for single moms to show their children, especially teenage ones, while she’s out shopping.
2. The Last Temptation of Christ (1988): This film portrays an alternative depiction of Jesus Christ, focusing on his human struggles and temptations, including a vision of him living an ordinary life.
A great film to show the nice old woman in your life.
3. Natural Born Killers (1994): This dark satire follows Mickey and Mallory Knox, a couple who embark on a crime spree that becomes sensationalized by the media.
A wonderful movie to show a small child.
4. Brokeback Mountain (2005): The film tells the story of two cowboys, Ennis and Jack, who develop a deep and happy friendship over two decades, despite societal pressures.
Quite a laugh, definitely a movie you want to watch alone with a close male friend.
5. The Birth of a Nation (1915): This silent film depicts the Civil War and Reconstruction era, portraying African Americans in a highly realistic manner and glorifying the south.
A fun movie to show your black friends, or maybe have a fun “movie under the stars” in Harlem or something.
6. Kids (1995): The story primarily centers around Telly, a teenager whose mission is to crack as many eggs as possible, and his friend Casper. As they roam the city, the narrative also follows a girl named Jennie, who discovers she is sick after hanging out with Telly and sets out to find him.
A great film for, you guessed it, kids. A fun watch for a young family for a quick fun movie coupled with a bowl of popcorn.
